Volunteers

The CFA defines Volunteers as Board Members, Head Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Athletic Directors, Team Parents, and Jr. Coaches. The CFA is run completely by volunteers and the HUGE amount of time, effort, and dedication is the sole reason for the success of the league.

Eligibility Requirements
:
  • Volunteers must be over 18 years old.
  • Jr. Coaches are ages 14-17 years old.
  • Volunteers are mandated to complete and successfully pass a background check, as well as complete concussion training.
  • Coaching appointments are open to those members in good standing with the CFA.
Process:
All Coaches and Athletic Directors will be reviewed, selected, and approved annually by the Board of Directors. The Executive Board has the power to remove volunteers that break the CFA Code of Conduct.

Child Safety Policy
Background Checks are part of the volunteer application process. The checks will be used to determine if any CFA volunteer has a criminal history that could jeopardize the safety and welfare of any child participating in the CFA. All information related to background checks is limited to the Executive Board and will not be disclosed elsewhere. If information found during the check prevents a volunteer from being accepted, the CFA designee will provide written notice in a confidential manner.

Information on what offenses constitute disqualification and how to appeal decisions can be found in the CFA Bylaws.
